rich is such a wonderful character

also i love drawing him with a severe baby face and fluffy hair
it... it just suits him. 

i wanted to practice some sort of lighting and i feel as if i did ok??? definitely not the best, but definitely not the worst either. i'll have to work on it more in the future.

SOME HEADCANONS!!!
- had braces when he was younger and wore a retainer as he got older to keep his dental health in check. when he got his SQUIP, though, it told him to stop using his retainer. that was when his tooth gap started to form.
- he doesn't actually use a gymnasium to work out; instead, he just works out publically (usually in his backyard.) when he runs though, he tracks around his neighborhood, which is what gives him his sun-spots.
- pre-SQUIP rich knew he was bi, but when he got his own SQUIP, it made him think that he was straight (i have this theory that since the SQUIP can block physical things out of your train of thought/view, then it could also block our mental things, right??? just an idea)
- rich plays hunie-pop on a regular basis, and has become the master at playing that hell-spawn
- he actually has a youtube channel for playing that shit, it's terrifying
- when he had braces, along with his lisp (which i feel is genetic. stuff like that actually passes along like my minor stuttering), no one EVER knew what he was saying, so he brang a notebook everywhere he went to write things down if his sentences were too complicated.
- post-SQUIP, he gives his father an intervention about his alcohol abuse, talking about his problems and how his father was never there for him when he truly needed to be. this causes riches dad to finally accept his disorder, and he goes to a treatment center for about two months. since i also headcanon rich as having being an only-child with no mother, rich probably goes to stay at jeremy's place for the time being.
EDIT: i know that addiction cannot simply be treated; it's wired into the addicts brain chemistry. but many addicts also have the will-power and determination to NOT relapse, even under intense stress or social isolation. not all alcoholics or druggies are terrible people.
- while there, they both really bond over there squip-experiences and many other things, even more so than when they were stuck at the hospital together.
- riches father, once he gets out of rehab, starts going to AA meetings.
